Being a new First Reader, I really can appreciate the importance Mrs. Eddy gave the Lesson-Sermons. Every week I am SO grateful to the Lesson Committee for the brilliant (meaning both intelligent & shining) Lessons they put together. I am in awe! The more I study them, the more I see the threads running through them and the ideas rising higher and higher as I go deeper and deeper. And how wonderful it is that all the Christian Scientists in the world are studying and pondering the same ideas together during the week. So precious! Thank you for sharing this reminiscence. Thank you, for this prayer for all. It lines up with what I’ve been working to do, to know that what God answers — “If I do it for you, I do it for everyone.” There is no danger for me nor another. That we can talk with others knowing that we each have a natural place by God, and that one’s spiritual dignity expresses all others’ spiritual dignity. 🙂
